Brook Simmons, Principal

Brook A. Simmons serves as a Principal of Capitol Decisions Inc., providing a full range of Federal affairs and consulting services for corporate and not-for-profit organizations across the Nation.

He works closely with Congress, Federal agencies, and state and local governments to deliver successful outcomes for clients—from building financial support for high-tech investments to blocking policy threats to a client’s bottom line.

Mr. Simmons’ customers include energy producers, leading-edge semiconductor materials developers, defense contractors, aerospace companies, next-generation biofuel companies, municipalities, and top agricultural research organizations.

He integrates comprehensive consulting, advocacy, business development, and public affairs strategies to consistently deliver for clients.

Mr. Simmons joined CDI after a successful 12-year career on Capitol Hill as a high-ranking staff member in the Senate and House of Representatives. An Oklahoma native, Mr. Simmons is a 1989 University of Oklahoma graduate.  He worked as a journalist before moving to Washington, D.C., in 1991.

He is a licensed private pilot and PADI-certified scuba diver, and he has jumped out of a perfectly good airplane three times from altitude. He enjoys hunting, fly fishing, equestrian sports, and operating heavy machinery. He is married to a professional equestrian athlete.
